“RAGHU MAKES FRIENDS WITH THE NEEDY ON CHRISTMAS DAY”
The Lohana Sports & Cultural Festival will visit its birth place Kisumu for the 34th edition. The main venue for this festival being The Tom Mboya Labour College (COTU) is surrounded by the Dunga slum and village where its occupants can get hold of an average meal a day.
So this year’s festival will be unique and being Christmas festive season, we shall follow the footsteps of our beloved Sant Shree Jalarambapa by feeding the needy. Raghu the mascot for this festival will be visiting the Dunga slum to bring happiness on the faces of a number of needy children as well aged persons by donating foodstuffs and other necessities.
We all are part of the God’s great big family, so lets all join hands with Raghu and march to Dunga and make a better Christmas day for the needy.
The itinerary for the day will include :
- donations to 480 to 500 needy children from Dunga slum and village
- donations to 160 to 180 needy aged people from Dunga slum coordinated through a local church.
Any persons willing to donate for this great cause, please contact our Kisumu Team Manager, Mr Jitendra Ghia. Your selfless support in this matter will be highly appreciated.
The food donation programme is being undertaken by our very able and amiable coordinator Mr Sureshbhai R Khiroya.
So there’s no excuse. We all need to be there and feed them so that their lives will be stronger and free.
Hope to meet you all there.
